Holy crap! Life ain't so bad!

That's right. I said it. Life isn't so bad. It's actually pretty darn good. I've done it again. Forged satisfaction despite obstacles. I'm making it to weight lifting(my arms ain't so bad imo). I'm keeping up with running. I haven't DDR'd in over a week, but that's ok because when I left off, I was on fire. I have a new and less stressful job. An exciting job and a fulfilling job. I'm even :GASP!: READY TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!!! I can't believe it. I am though. I just spent a great evening with friends. I made them laugh, and they made me laugh, and all was good. Things are looking up. here are the events that led me to this sudden "high on life" feeling. I hope it lasts a little while this time. lol.

Tuesday night was a "steak out," literally. I and four other security workers went to a kroger and worked 11pm-5am. It was fun. This guy, big guy(6'5 and 350 to be exact), was stealing meat from 2am-5am for the past week at this Kroger. We decided we needed a set up to get him and "keep the peace." He really is massive, two security guards wouldn't have been enough if he had chosen to fight. Well I sit out in my car with a radio and binoculars waiting for him. It was funny. A big ass tractor trailor pulls in the middle of the parking lot and then I see lights underneath it as someone was pulling in. I needed to look so I moved. After moving, I see two cops getting out of their cars. I ask on the radio if everything is cool in there. They say "yeah we got him, we're waiting on the cops." I told them the cops were here and they told me to stay out there because his buddy was still in the car. I thought, "they never friggin told me about a partner!" Then they radio about a white car with its head lights on. They said "don't move to try to seem him, just look around." I'm like, "wtf are they talking about. There isn't a white car or a car with its headlight on anywhere!" Moments later, the two cops come out with groceries and leave. I'd been punk'd. LOL. They are so lucky those cops showed up. It wouldn't have worked otherwise.

So anyway, I move back to my old spot. Well after actually being in my car from 12am-5am, and not seeing a sign of him, we were ready to call it quits. Then, the dude shows up. I radio in and we get ready. After he enters the store, they radio back saying it is him and I go over and get his license plate number and make and model of his car. Then I parked behind him to block him in(another car was in front). I then head to the door and wait until the other guys stop him. They tell me not to make a move until I see bodies "flying around" and to not be seen until that happens. I knew if he slipped through that door and away from the others I was the last thing in his way. It also dawned on me that the guy might back into my truck hard trying to escape if he made it to his car. I then changed from nervousess to eagerness. There was NO WAY he was getting to his car. Suddenly, I see him walking calmly out the door. Again I am like WTF! They were supposed to have stopped him at the exit. Soon, they other security members come out and we surround him and stop him. Fortunately and boringly, he doesn't fight. Hehe. I was ready though. Yeah, the story would have been better but it really is a good thing he didn't. He ended up stealing $650 of meat. He shoved 5 enormous beef tenderloin strips down his pants. LMAO. He wouldn't have been able to have made it to his car anyway. Those strips cost 5 bucks a pound and weigh 20-25 pounds each. He didn't fight, and I stayed until the police got there.

This job rocks. As you readers probably know, it IS confirmed(thanks to my pay check) that I get 12 bucks and hour, any hours I want, and payed lunch breaks. The check I got today had 22 hours of work on it. I cleared slightly over 200 bucks. At my old job, it took 38-40 hours to clear that much. This job, while nerve racking and exciting, is also less stressful for some reason. There is no retarded store manager on my ass all the time making sure an item stays stocked like its a matter of national security. I like this job. To think, when school starts, I can BE SURE that I will have no more than 20 hours a week. No fucking 36-40 hours during a school week ever. I'M FREE! Yet my paycheck will be as big as if I was working full time at my old job. I also received news that I might be released from trianing Monday. Provided I don't screw up big time until then I have passed. All I can do is hope I get to keep this job and that it stays this good.

To top it off, tonight I got to bowl with Josh F., Keithia, and Keithen-her little brother. The bowling alley was COMPLETELY EMPTY. That meant peace, quiet, and fun in a non-smoke filled environment. We had a blast. I won a game, Josh took the other two. We goofed off, joked on each other and with each other, and laughed up a storm. It was the first time in a long time that I was able to go out and just be myself and laugh my ass off and not worry once about someone else screwing it up. It was also the first time in years I saw Keithia with just a week a separation, instead of a few months. AWESOME! I also like being able to goof off and not worry about how I might "supposedly" ruin someone else's night or piss someone else off. That's right. A bullshit free night. An ass-hole free night. A fun night. Thanks Keithia and Josh. Hell you too Keithen(he was quite but he did laugh some, lol). I enjoyed that thoroughly. Keithia, I hope I made you feel better and I hope you see now that you ARE STILL the same cheery and laughter loving nice Keithia of old. Oh yeah and I forgot to give you that air mattress. Sorry! Call or I.M. me or leave a comment if you still want to arrange a day to get it.

Ok people, I'm out. Life can actually be good. Like, more good than bad. To top it off, we each can do things to make it that way. To make life better and make ourselves better and make each other better is, to an extent, a power we have. Many don't try. So just stay around those that do, and it might rub off. ;) Adios peeps!
